The Most Hated and Loved Rare Fortnite Skins of All Time

Fortnite skins have been around since the game’s inception, with a huge selection of designs to choose from. While some are beloved by fans, others are loathed. Here’s a look at some of the most hated and loved rare fortnite skins of all time.

Why do people love or hate certain skins?

No matter how much people love or hate certain skins, it always comes down to personal opinion. Some players dislike certain aesthetics, while others think they look great. Others may be put off by the high price, or simply because they don’t suit their own style. There can also be an element of jealousy if someone has spent a lot of time and money collecting certain skins that other people find unattractive or undesirable.

Most popular and hated skins

When it comes to popular skins, there’s no denying that the ‘Ghoul Trooper’ is a fan favourite, released in 2018 as part of the Halloween themed event. It’s still one of the rarer and more expensive cosmetic items in Fortnite, but its unique design is what sets it apart from other similar-looking outfits like the Skull Trooper or Renegade Raider. On the other hand, some of the less popular skins include the ‘Frozen Love Ranger’ and ‘Valorant Defender’, which were released during the Valentine’s Day events in 2019 and 2020 respectively – both of which were considered too generic for many players’ tastes.

The controversial Recon Expert skin

One skin that has proved particularly divisive among players is the ‘Recon Expert’ – which was first released in April 2017, alongside several other military-based looks such as ‘Sgt. Winter’, ‘Tactical Trooper’ and more. The Recon Expert features an orange jumpsuit with black stripes on the chest, as well as an orange mask with white stripes on each side, giving it a slightly sinister appearance (especially when combined with the standard black hair). Despite this, many people still consider the Recon Expert to be one of their favourite skins due to its unique design, which makes it stand out from other costumes available in Fortnite.

Rarity matters too

Another reason why certain skins are so sought after is because they are rare, meaning that even if you don’t necessarily like them aesthetically, you might still want them simply because not many other people have them! For example, one very rare skin called ‘Leviathan’ was only available through special promotional codes given out by Epic Games in 2018 – which is why it’s so sought after by collectors today, despite being a fairly average design overall!

Other notable mentioned skins

Other notable mentions go to ‘Omega’, ‘Zenith’, ‘Renegade Raider’, ‘Jungle Scout’ & ‘Dark Bomber’. These five are considered to be some of the most popular Fortnite cosmetics ever released due to their eye-catching designs that appeal to fans, whether they love them or hate them! Each has been met with mixed reactions from players, but still remain incredibly desirable for those who appreciate good quality cosmetics in their inventory collection!

Bottom line

Ultimately, when it comes to what makes a good skin versus a bad skin, opinions will always differ from person to person, but there are certainly some iconic ones that everyone can agree are both widely loved and/or despised, depending on personal taste! From Ghoul Trooper to Recon Expert, these rare Fortnite skins will likely continue to make appearances at fashion shows long after we’ve moved on to bigger battles elsewhere!
